The foundation of reason is what is known. What is known grows with every experience and is often surprising.

I'm frightened by the devil
And I'm drawn to those ones that ain't afraid

This man did justice, loved kindness and walked humbly with his God until his life was snuffed out.

Can you say the same about these guys?

Welcome home X
We missed you. This week has left me with little desire to engage in finger pointing and rancorous arguments and more inclined to want to just hug my wife and kids. We are heading into a time of war that has the potential to escalate to global proportions. This could possibly be the event that will lead to the culmination of history as we know it. This will not end until the question of Jerusalem is settled and that settlement will require direct and divine intervention. So.....

Interesting quote from T.J.. Pure reason is just a rabbit pulled out of a hat, if it has no ultimate foundation. He says "GOD.... MUST" If God isn't, then there is no "MUST" is there? Jefferson had no basis for saying "all men are created equal" it was, and is not "self evident". That is a concept that he stole from Theism, specifically Christian Theism. He sneaks in a creator by the back door while simultaneously questioning His existence. If no "Creator" exists then Who is it that created us equally?

Reason, unless it is undergirded and informed by God's, self revealing, cannot provide a sufficient basis for morality. Words like good and evil are just words. The people who committed these acts are convinced that it is we who are evil and they who are good. It seems to me, that you have no way of refuting them from a relativistic viewpoint. I have no problem with your wanting to question the existence of God, however, I think your conclusions have less to do with reason and more to do with emotion, and a desire to avoid being held morally accountable, but that's just my opinion.

One day we will both be dead and then we will hear "the envelope please" Truth will prevail, but it won't be yours, or mine, it will be God's Truth.

PS; Read any good books lately?
I'm reading "The Invisible Hand" a book by RC Sproul about God's providence.
