Wrong, Candu is heavy water nuclear reactor. Heavy water
or Deuterium is used as a moderator in Candu reactors.
Candu was developed in Chalk River, Ontario in 1946.
Canada was one of the three allies that worked on the
Manhatten project, U.S.A., Great Britain and Canada
in that order of importance. Unfortunately, uranium
used in the first atom bomb probably came from Radium
City in the North West Territories. Uranium in the late
1930's was a by-product of radium production, radium used
in watch dials.
