Luc everyone is looking for a debacle on Monday. I have had those same people who bought at the Jan-March top telling me they are selling. I agree that longer term we see new low's, but I dont think its going to be for a whille. I believe we will get a substatial bounce on the basis that this infusion of money, Repos, and rate cuts will have some ST effects. HOWEVER I believe that like Japan we can patch up the terminal patient but eventially he will die. I think people are underestimating the MASSIVE cost's, and changes to our society this event will cause. I believe there will be an exodus of business from NYC, Would you stay? Iam not. I think that the Federal Govt will bankrupt the nation if the really fight a war on terrorism. I believe Oil prices will skyrocket, the dollar will plunge. I believe like everything else these things will take time. The US Government is now hell bent on holding things together(like the japs did). I actually think they have no choice considering the economic consequences. I plan to start buying Forighn denominated bond's, oil stocks, and more GOLD on any weakness. I still remain in cash, and am even tempted to start buying physical GOLD.

Here is the best part - On GOOD AUTHORITY - LOL:

To those that think that consumer spending will fail, I have it on good authority, that there is a somewhat significant portion of the female population, that in times of stress, will indeed go to the shopping malls and shop. There is no reason, in my mind, to believe that retail spending will be affected negatively at all.

The bottom is in, and the rarely understood Shorters and Hedge Funds will be the bravest and most determined buyers these first days. Yes, indeed the Calvary of American Shorters are coming, and they are buying.
