I've read where authorities started looking into short positions on Wednesday. Japan had already started before we asked them to.

It is just reported that German regulators reported that it looks like associates of Bin Laden have shorted Munich RE in the 4 days leading up to the crash. Munich RE apparently had significant exposure to the insurance of the World Trade Center. This was just reported on MSNBC. I suppose it is also just now on other services too.

Someone told me today that the pilot of the doomed Pentagon airplane went to my high school. A senior when I was a sophomore. No one that I knew, but then that was my first year in California. The demographic changes have been so large in this part of the country, that the terrorists are more likely than the poor pilot to have family now attending that school.
