Hi Charleymane; Perhaps the alternative choice was to be host to the battlefield, with the US moving in from the subcontintent. I'm sure the Indians would have given us permission. Conveniently, it's a pretty good country for armor, at least up to the Afghanistan border: vista-tourism.com -- Carl
