I would have thought "innocents" in any context would mean that they do not deserve to be punished.
In war innocents do die,but only savages would not try to limit those deaths to a minimum.

Not only is this guy a real sicko, it is the same extreme nationalism which gave rise to hitler. 99% of Arabs are good and decent people. Anyone in this country who does not care about other innocent people, really does not care about the innocent people in New York either.
