If you are saying, what I think you are saying, it would take thousands of Americans to be involved in such a plan, with many of them working at the WTC, or having relatives in the WTC. You might hold back divisive comments like this, until they get all the dead out from beneath the rubble in New York.

Bingo. These guys always win unfortunately. Until they are curtailed (to the tune of losses in millions of campaign contributions and a hit in the economy and loss of jobs/votes) we are kidding ourselves that we will leave in a peaceful world (which we sure do not promote around the world, on the contrary). >Please reassure me they would never resort to such a horrific plan. I was a bit encouraged that Bush did not come out blasting at the few remainining living goats in Afganistan. I was more encouraged to hear Powell keep mentioning the word "diplomatic" several times. I think there has been an intense debate in Washington D.C. between the hawks and the few ones who said "hmm, maybe we should change the way we conduct policy around the world". None, except if Musaraff of Pakistan can deliver the goods to us and fairly quickly (see one of my prior posts about my theory behind this terrorist act) but he will exact a big prize (Kashmir probably). He said Pakistan would comply with all U.N. Security Council resolutions to combat terrorism. Earlier this week Pakistan President Perves Musharraf volunteered ``full cooperation'' to Washington, but had not formally responded to specific U.S. requests to seal its border with Afghanistan (news - web sites), cut off fuel supplies, allow use of its airspace or share intelligence gathering. On Saturday the Taliban warned Pakistan against cooperating with the U.S., threatening any neighbor with ``extraordinary danger'' if they helped Washington. The U.S. has threatened retribution against those responsible for the attacks and those who harbor them. Osama bin Laden (news - web sites), implicated by Washington in the attacks, lives in Afghanistan as a ''guest'' of the Taliban. ------------ Of course that will not stop terrorism, I am afraid we 'll have to get used to it and that's sad.
