Well, there may soon be no Taliban in any formal sense. Even their friend Pakistan won't help them. They have enemies in their own country too. My personal hope is that most Afgans (or is it "Afganis"?) will be relieved to be rid of that oppressive regime. It won't end the threat from "Islamists", as that article called them, but they will have fewer resources and, if we do the right things to help get other conflicts resolved, fewer friends.
