Is anyone else as livid as I am over Dan Rather's selfish, cowardly comment about "the Olympics" when the firefighters and rescue personnel were chanting "USA, USA". I sent an e-mail to CBS, as did Srexley.

Tom, thank you for your unifying message! By parsing Clinton's words of support to find some nonexistent message of disharmony, you have restored my confidence in your judgment and good sense. But be careful about stealing lines from Reverend Falwell. I think he may have copyrighted those lines about our moral decline being responsible for madmen blowing up our citizens.
