OJ, Its not that my head doesn't agree with you ...its just that my head is often wrong - LOL. I remember liquidating assets at the bottom of the Asian crisis - boy did I feel dumb !. Yet at the time everything was on a downward spiral and I couldn't see any positive resolution in the near term. I always have to remind myself that this is a game where many of the rules are only known by the masses after the result. Fundamentals may well improve from this qtr .. and the economy may hit bottom soon. Many companies have free passes to show appaling results for the next qtr or two ... by which time things maybe on the uptick and comparisons maybe show good growth !. It may well be that there is a prolonged world economic funk that includes a protracted bear market .. thats sure the way it looks ... but its amazing how things suddenly seem to turn around. Take the airline situation. Badly run and seemingly a shoe-in for bankruptcy ... but of course they won't be allowed to fail ... they'll just go through a cycle. Same with other sectors ... there is so much wastage in many American companies that the current headcount cutting has been long overdue - whether the right people get laid off or not is another matter ... but if they are the better people, those people will find other things to do ... start their own business perhaps ...

I guess all I'm saying is that I'm very bearish and have been for some time ... but human nature is such that as time passes and prices decline, one should actually get more optimistic because the cycle is running its course.

Just rambling ...and my 5 year old needs some help with Spyro ... !

Regards

Stephen
