The more I think about the economic consequences of our actions in response to our awakening, the more I think we are in for several years of very hard times. Tourism in NY? I suspect a very major industry is toast for some time. I wonder how many Europeans will be flocking to Florida this Winter? Who the hell wants to go to one of our under protected airports? God help us if oil flow gets stopped by any two OPEC countries like Iraq/Iran. Perhaps Florida will be looking more kindly upon the revenues it could gain from the abhorrent RIGS off its Gulf coast line. I hope the Government lights a fire under the ass of the majors like XOM to get some oil in the pipeline.
