This is what I said: "It is true, I skimmed past a lot of this. I think gao misunderstood and overreacted to you, reviewing the evidence. On the other hand, you misunderstood and misrepresented him. He made it clear, I think, that he objected to saddling all Muslims with the crimes of fanatics early on (the comment about his Arab drinking buddies in Korea), and the thing about learning who was with us and who against, and dealing accordingly, was in response to a post about the difficulty of finding terrorist cells. I would not accuse you of deliberately misrepresenting him, and I doubt he deliberately misrepresented you...... " The normal reading of that is that you misrepresented one another, but neither lied. What I subsequently observed, being pressed on the question of whether or not he was a liar, was that I did not think he meant literally that you were a murderer or terrorist. Metaphorically, they were misrepresentation, but not obvious lies. I also said that I could not understand the reference to his family, and gave a couple of examples of meanings that might reflect misunderstanding rather than deliberate falsehood, and therefore declined to characterize him as lying in that instance as well. Now, I assume that you misunderstood all of this, and that is why you misrepresented me. I would not, without better evidence, accuse you of lying........
