I'm not fooled by their claims about "jihad" or sacrificing their own lives. It's common political sociology that most of these leaders are far more willing to sacrifice the lives of their followers, than their own lives. They possess an misplaced sense of self-importance, and will do anything to avoid being killed... if only to perpetuate carrying on their fight later on. People just want to be left alone to live their lives and raise their children to have a better life than they endured. That, imo, is the common thread that runs through all of humanity. And the people of Afghanistan are truly tired of the decades of war they have endured, either fighting off the Soviets, or the incessant rivalry between local warlords. Hawkmoon

Hi Carolyn; Not a chance. No one would believe it if OBL suddenly croaked "accidentally". Instead, the leaders will prosecute this to the end. If you're sufficiently deluded that you believe that by killing civilians will you be instantly transported to a paradise with 70 virgins waiting for you, you're certainly capable of believing that you can out last a fight with 130 nations. -- Carl P.S.
