long-gone, I think the bullets they carried were actually the forerunners of Mag-Safes, which are now available commercially. They have a thin hollow point, a plastic cover and shot inside. I load all of my handguns with Mag-safes and/or Glaser Safety Slugs. I live in an apartment and never want to endanger my neighbors. Of course, when I go to the range or the Combat Pistol course, I load up with el cheapos. The Mag-Safes and Glasers are not priced for fun and games. But you have to fire at least a few rounds at targets with them, as they have a different trajectory to standard rounds.

BTW, I am not a survivalist or anti-govt or even incredibly paranoid. I am simply a guy who enjoys handguns, both lookers and shooters. I also have a couple of Browning gun safes for when kids visit.
