I agree. But it is like grazing a stallion. All or nothing is much more dependable than trying a precision act of stunning which is a more refined act. In the case where a knife is near someone's throat, the death of the perpetrator needs to be instant and complete.

I understand your humanity and your hatred of taking life. But if it is one or the other, we must try to save the one who values life over the one who does not. In an aircraft, a thraet to one is a theat to all. It is a horrible situation where we must (IMO) agree that no compromise of any kind is allowed. Once the rules are posted and you sign the waiver, there will be no skill testing question...
