Iso: Agree that the draft will most likely start up again. Have said before that the recent attacks in the NE are terrible acts caused by radical people. What happened was and remains so devastating to those victims and families of same. Many different actions will have to be undertaken in order to attempt to eliminate these terrible threats to the citizens of our nation. I believe that the use of force is required to stop the radical people from executing further acts of terrorism.

But, I believe this recent effort to bring the US into a state of war is a ploy of the politician to distract this country: From the coming recession; increase in taxation thru deflation; and a devaluation of the currency. A true war is likely to occur, as a result of actions of government leaders, who think they must escalate hostilities (on a much more global basis than may be necessary). I think the executive branch is only using a state of war terminology to gain concensus for action. Do not think we will end up with much of a war to eliminate the Bin Laden regime. If there is proof and action is completed against the PLO, the situation may unfold to a larger confrontation. Do not think the consensus is to bbe available, if the entire Arabic world will act as a pact, against possible action by the Western powers. All this JMHO.

Should this whole thing would (and could) escalate like the previous great world wars, no one opinion about the current terrorism will account for much. Small potatoes have a way of turning into giant mountains, when left to incompetent leaders that may become involved. Let us hope we have no need for any truly important decisions to be made, concerning how to stop the terroristic threats to the US.

Best Wishes;
