PT Re: <Who are the other two countries to recognize the Taliban? TIA>

Three countries recognize the Taliban as opposed to the United Front government headed by Burhanuddin Rabbani -- whose defense minister, Ahmad Shah Masoud(the Lion of Panjshir & leader of the Northern Alliance) was the target of a suicide bomb last Sunday.

They are Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

If Mr. Masoud is still alive, and there are differences of opinion on that subject, he is a moderate Muslim who wants to rid the country of the Taliban and bin Laden.
