Yes, I did write them back to thank them and tell them how much it meant to me.

I also just received a chain letter from another distant "cousin" in Canada. I think she forgot I was an American. It's a similar letter signed by dozens of people from around the world that will be forwarded to "W" when 100 people have signed it. Here's what it said...

"We the undersigned wish to express our most heart felt and sincerest condolences to the people of America. Our prayers, thoughts and hearts are with you in this time of sadness and devastation. Time will mend but the memories will last a life time."

On another subject I just returned from a John Mellencamp/Wallflowers concert. It felt so good just to feel good again. The Wallflowers closed their set with a very appropriate cover song...
