Hello Sonki. Thanks for the link. I own sev. of the stocks mentioned. I am also still holding some MRVC. Unbelievable that some people, you knew of, for one reason or another, were on these ill-fated planes. CFO of MRVC and Barbara Olson, who was a frequent guest on the talk show circuit.

Anyhow, I do believe that this country will be in for some rough times. And I am sure we all feel so very sorry for all those innocent lost souls and their families. At a time like this we kind of feel like one big family again.

I am not sure what will happen on Monday. There is lots of talk one way or another. This talk in the following link seems to be around everywhere. But then we had the same patriotic talk about NOT short-selling in the overseas markets and we all know what happened then on Friday after a cpl of stabilizing trading days.

Here is the link:

Not everyone will have enough money left to buy new stocks. But if this could be implemented, it could be an interesting scenario. But a little fear could upstage this.
I am hoping I can get in touch with one of my brokerages in New York. It's a small discount broker and I have not been able to get through all week. So I will have to see what happens tomorrow. I may not be able to trade one way or another. In my nontaxable accounts trading would make no diff. to the upside.

Talk is that the FED could drop rates as much as 3/4 of a point if necessary.

Let's hope first of all that our country stays safe.

God Bless America.

Sonny

Sonki. One more link from the front of SI:

BTW, did you hear on TV that Bin Laden's money supposedly did some re-insurance shorting in Munich, Germany? One of those cos. supposedly had a big stake in the WTC.

There could be a paper trail search of short selling coming up. Let's see if there was some shoring going on in 93 when the WTC was hit. Did AMR and UAL go down a lot recently or most of the airlines?

That's why some people talk about: Do you want to be on the side of America and be long the market or do you want to be on the side of Bin Laden?

The right way to go is probably to go the route you were thinking of choosing before all this happened but probably with some amendments.

Clarifying my statement about my non taxable accounts: I can't contribute any new money into those accounts at this time. But I may have to check this out a bit further. Since I work a cpl of days a week, I may be able to contribute despite my retirement income.

Again. Hoping all will go well tomorrow.

Sonny
