Excellent points, excellent post. I have been thinking the same thing. Muslim Americans living in this country, especially, need to do something, they need to stand up, step up, and take some action themselves rather than simply living in fear of backlash from other Americans who don't understand them. There is a clear opportunity here to differentiate themselves from those who have attacked us. They need to seize it and run with it. They need to be on the front lines, not the back aisle closest to the door (figuratively speaking). And it help their cause greatly if they would be unequivocal about it.
