As I said, bin Laden wants all-out war between Muslim and infidel. So far, his call is being heeded by only a small minority of Muslims. If we in broaden the scope of that war, and take aim at Muslims that have rejected that call, we serve bin Laden's interests. Why do you think that every attempt to negotiate a settlement in the Middle East is met with a storm of terrorist attacks? The terrorists know that there will be indiscriminate retaliation, and that war will break out again. That is what they want.
