No, not just that. That could well be a fear, but not the primary one. I'm sure they must feel overwhelmingly intimidated by some of their fellow Americans at times like these. There's no doubt about that. But they've got to figure out a way to climb above it. They've got to be able to step forward and say we are Americans first, and make it stick. For their own sake.

Acting like this illmarine guy sure isn't going to cut it.

I know many, many Arab-Americans - my husband was one - and they are as loyal as any of us and decry all this nonsense.

The freaks who perpetrated this have a selfish agenda: to stop progress, for their way of life is threatened. They will lose. They are too stupid to know this.
