What a shocker. Goes along with these articles:

you have a good point...why ask our military guys what they need to accomplish the missions we assign them.

afterall we sent them to mogadishu with the equipment that great warriors like les aspin and bill clinton deemed sufficient and when they ran out of ammo only 28 died. surely that was cheaper than sending the tanks and helicopters they said they needed to accomplish the mission all that way from the USA to africa.

and do not worry about other personnel and equipment shortages nor lack of training...we got a peace dividend remember!...and every time one of our trained combat leaders resigns over a training issue...that peace dividend just gets bigger.
yup that is it...just tell the families of the 5,000 killed tuesday to rest easy...they got a clinton peace dividend.

next year lets save even more money and take 1/2 of the chairs out all the military shrinks' offices...don't ask them if they need 2 chairs.
did you ever meet a shrink who wasn't a nut about his chairs?
don't worry...we know what is best. just tell the Doctors it is THEIR peace dividend.

remember this clinton staffer's saying.
"Nothing is too good for the troops, and that is what they get"
now go cut the budget.
