DAK,

With all due respect, you're ignoring well over 3000 years of persistent and relentless genocide of the Jews. The Israeli philosophic and militaristic mindset is a direct result of this. Therefore, no negotiating with terrorists, and strict and swift retaliation to any terrorist action.

The survival of the Jewish people, and the Israeli nation as a whole, is remarkable given the historical genocide and their geographically inferior position. They are completely surrounded.

Nadine is correct, <If the Palestinians stopped, the Israelis would stop.>, unfortunately the mere presence of the Jews precludes any peaceful coexistence on religious grounds. A point that is not shared by the Jewish religion.

The Israeli's have come to the conclusion that they will face persistent and relentless attempts at extermination until they are either wiped out or expelled from the region. Now it seems, that we Americans face the same problem.

Regards,

Mike

<If the Israelis stopped, the Palestinians would be encouraged and attack more.>

Wonder why? Sounds like you're saying that the Palastinians in Isreal [quite a large % of the population] should just be wiped out because they invaded from China or somewhere anyway?

Why? The Palestinians are led by idiots who would rather lead them to disaster than ever make a compromise, that's why.

What Nadine is saying is that Israel must keep taking land from the Palestinians, because not doing so would show weakness, which would embolden them. Or some sort of pretzel logic like that.
