I agree, so why dont' we go fight for the Afgan people instead of bombing the hell out of them to get our man and claim victory? To me what you said is better for humanity. If we blow them to pieces to get our man (men) (good luck) well, don't be surprised that they dont' grow up to hate us too and make a date with the virgins in another office tower.
