Hello David, and welcome to the thread.

You no doubt have already seen my comments on the P-I conflict so please take care with this topic area.

Both parties in this dispute can easy make statements that seem completely rational within the speaker's context yet be perceived as complete untruth by the listener within his context and belief system. I see no way out of this conundrum.

To my 15 year experience with this topic, it seems quite unresolvable. I think we'll just have to wait and see what happens in the real world because no one I know has a clue as how to resolve this to the satisfaction (or equal dissatisfaction) of all parties.
