Much of the land the UN designated for the Jewish State was already purchased by the Zionists before 1947. Of course, Israel conquered additional territory. It is also interesting that Egypt and Jordan annexed the territory they captured and did nothing to set up a Palestinian State on the parts of the UN Palestinian State they captured.

Kyros, interesting suggestion. Send it to your congressman. Who will promptly put it in the round file. Right now it's so far from the list of anything remotely possible that I question whether you are serious. We are not going to compensate the Palestinians any time soon. Someone just killed at least 5,000 innocent men, women, and children from all over the world, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindi, black, white, and every other color of the human rainbow. Congress just invoked the War Powers Act, 530 to 1. What we are going to do now is find the people who did this and kill them. And we are going to take away as many of their little toys as we can find. And we are going to give Israel lots of weapons and thank the Israelis very much for helping us, and we are going to be very nice to Ariel Sharon and we aren't going to give him any orders. I don't know what the world would have been like before if things had been different. Your President, Clinton, was in office for eight years and from where I sit he screwed the pooch.

People seem to forget that there are two sides to every argument.... when it comes to the U.S. it's standard to avenge even one death.. life is so highly valued. But turn it around and no one can seem to see the viewpoint. What gives??? I mean, cant anyone see that the middle east is just what it is... why is there 'right and wrong'??? It seems that if you don't believe that Israel is 'right' on all counts your unamerican or something??? How can anyone ALWAYS be right? DAK
