Thanks for pointing out that book has info related to the current topic. I've read it a couple of times, and used it as a reference for personal planning.

I'm beginning to regret I elected to stay close to the labor market rather than live in the isolated beach community when I relocated last year. I guess cable modem access is a plus for the metro area.

BTW, pg 498 has a quote I found difficult to understand, so I got a different translation from an online bible gateway.

Ecclesiastes 7:12 :: New International Version (NIV)

Wisdom is a shelter as money is a shelter, but the advantage of knowledge is this: that wisdom preserves the life of its possessor.

Reports from Australia/Israel.

Here I get the feeling that everyone thinks something weird and terrible happened in America last week. There was shock for one day, now things are getting back to normal. No sense of impending doom or gloom. The main concern is the collapse of one of our two main airlines, Ansett, last week. The lesson seemingly being learned from last Tuesday's events is that we should be more careful than ever with these assylum seekers from Afghanistan....

Talked with my mother this afternoon in Israel. She says "Oh everyone is worrying about the Palestinians again. Arafat looks really worried." Lesson, seems to be in this case "We were right, now the US should support us more than before".

Just my casual impressions...

David
