Fundamental thought via rigid readings of all texts can be scary. The Bible covers incest, murder and the killing of one's own children as acceptable, if one wishes to be rigid.

But as I understand it, mainstream Muslims are more modernistic and refute such fundamental extremism. I'm not sure what percentages each represents, but I suspect the great majority are neighborly.

I am engaged in off-board conversations trying to determine if this is correct.
