My point as to the Week the Earth Stood Still, related to one of my favorite movies: The Day the Earth Stood Still. Therein, an alien force indicated that a super police had to be developed to override their emotions. The super-computer so to speak. What almost scares me is my reference last month that the market would be facing a Black September. Little could I even imagine the implications of my statement. Yet, something made me state it! Most of these attackers lived among us, some only a few miles from me. They used the freedoms of our system against us without remorse. It is clearly an attack upon our system; then all of the resourses we expended could not prevent this attack. It was so low tech that the powers that be could not even comprehend it, or so we are being told. Now, unfortunately, we move into the next level -- the recriminations and the lobbyists. We will hear how the commitment of funds to a super potato would have prevented these events. The real attack is on the development of just in time -- just in time financial resources. The winners in this battle would be those who could develop the lowest costs. Paying the lowest labor costs was the prime directive in this equation. Alas, this has nothing to do with Mr. Ladin. It is attack upon the basis of the system -- our system. My dad retired as a Cmdr. after having have joined the Navy at age 14, altering his sister's birth certificate. Seeing the number of Cmdr's obliterated in the Pentagon attack was a brutal acknowledgement of the loss incurred by this country. A Really Sad view from the Swamp TB
