There is no one more dangerous than someone who has nothing to loose.

Further reflection on this suggested that Bin Ladin might be the exception- as he had wealth, yet became a more serious threat as a result of that. Yet, his exile and the percieved violation of his religous beliefs might have put him in that mindset of 'nothing to loose' despite his wealth.

Not that I mean to take an apologist role here- I think his approach is ultimately less likely to succeed than other approaches might have been. He makes for quite a contrast to the Dali Lami.
