Browne is just not very "likeable"

Therein hangs the reason the LP will never succeed nationally.

The LP is the party of principle. But most people don't vote for principles, they vote for personalities.

Is it possible to be both principled and likeable? Maybe. But it's not easy. Principled people tend to come off as overly studious, dry, uninteresting. Not always, of course. But often.

And even libertarians don't always like their principles -- as the Browne column of a few days ago. It was, as I said at the time, classic libertarian thinking. But who here has endorsed it?
