The terrorists are dead. Do you mean potential or accessory to terrorists? Someone was saying we "should kill anyone who even THINKS about it". I pointed out that such a policy required a technology that we simply didn't have - mind reading. Is thinking about killing someone the same as doing it? If so then MANY of us are murderers. No, this mind-reading technology is not likely in the near future.

This is like trying to separate the rot from a peach. There is that stuff that is rotten, there is that is kind of rotten, then there is part that is just unpalatable.

Follow the money. You will find the financier (most likely bin Laden). You will find a series of sleazy, immoral, fanatical and corrupt middlemen of varying degrees of vileness. Then you will also have people who were just simply used.

This is not a WAR. It involves intrigue and will be difficult, if not impossible, to ferret out the good from the bad in any clean way. Welcome to terrorism.

Agreed. I believe we will succeed.

In fact, if we pursue not only the known terrorists, but in addition the corrupt leaders, we will be surprised at the new found support by the masses of oppressed miserables in many of these countries.

Like shedding light on cockroaches, they will run for cover which will be increasingly scarce.

How many years we were fearful of the Soviets, only to find out that they were rotting from their own guts.
