Excellent point. Another item to keep firmly in mind with all of our high-minded discussions: "FOLLOW THE MONEY"

>CNN reported last night forgiving 30 billion in debt is included in the deal. US Secretary of State Colin Powell on Saturday said Pakistan had been "very forthcoming" in its cooperation on possible US action and said the US was appreciative of that -- remarks that could be seen as a signal Washington is preparing to dip into its coffers.>>>

Didn't I tell you guys over there that Musharraf will make out as a bandit from this mayhem?

Let me tell you another fact: Foreign AID is NEVER free!!!!!!!!!!NEVER. Give and take, give and take, Musharraf is in the process of taking (A LOT) right now to deliver the VICTORY we need so much.

This prompted me to try to find out just how much forign aid we have spread to the different countries around the world....So far I have been unsuccessfull at finding that number....does anyone have a way to find out?..might be an interesting or even shocking amount...just that $30 BILLION is shocking to me...remember OUR tax $$ paid this...and why am I forced to fagitabout the repayment.

There are two big foreign aid items, accounting for about 40% of total aid: Israel ($3 billion) and Egypt ($2 billion). The rest is spread rather thinly among many different countries.
