Regarding market orders.

Read today that certain mutual funds such as Vanguard for example do not allow for sell order cancellations once the button is pushed. Possible this may have been altered since the market has been closed for nearly a week.

I would speculate that there were plenty of sell orders prior to the closure of the market on Tuesday. Most of which went unfilled. Whether or not these have been cancelled over the past few days remains to be seen. We will find out tomorrow that's for sure.

My personal and perhaps optimistic view is that after an initial down draft we could rally and based upon some of the liquidity that appears to be out there we could in fact rally pretty hard. This is my optimistic view of course.

In regard to oil futures would you think anyone would want to be short in the present market environment? I would expect oil to rally from here on short covering alone. Big blue chip oils should remain strong IMO.

Myself I'll just be watching and biting my lip. Hoping for the best but expecting the worst. At present I have four pretty long positions in four pretty thinly traded stocks. Although I won't sell these positions I not going to buy until it appears the market has stabilized. When that will come is anybody's guess.
Best
