re: privileged to watch Mike turn into a lion on this very thread. And he is one of many. Almost everyone wants the world to be a more peaceful place, and would rather solve problems nonviolently. At the same time, almost everyone will resort to violence if he feels sufficiently threatened. We are (almost) all potential pacifists, and potential warriors. I consider myself a pacifist. I know, that may sound absurd, given the things I've recently posted. I am a pacifist, however, because I only advocate violence in self-defense, as a response to violence done to me (and, by extension, my family, my community, and my nation). If everyone adopted that principle, all violence would stop, and the goals of pacifism would be achieved.
