I didn't say "appear to give in". I don't agree with that. It's fine to mobilize and galvanize. We shouldn't be too quick to believe our propaganda though. We shouldn't be saying we'll bomb Afghanistan. We shouldn't be saying we will act in irresponsible and characteristically un-American ways. We don't see ourselves nor have we peddled ourselves to our allies and foes, as slayer of innocents. We shouldn't be expanding our solution set to include that space, publicly or privately. Nor should we act terrorized. Laugh, sing, live well. Kick their @ss.
