NOW is not the time to discuss "root causes".

When someone invades your home and kills your family, you don't engage in a philosophical discussion of whether or not the invader had a "grievance".

I don't think in this country on this topic it is very common. That is ridiculous IMO. Maybe one or two people (ironicly, like Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson) think we are getting what we deserve. As a country, we've believed we were safe when we weren't. We didn't deserve it, but we certainly can't REALLY be "surprised" by this. I've been worried for years about when this was going to happen.
