George, maybe this isn't the place to say this, but I think it is a mistake on your part to keep harping on the "irrational thirst for revenge" theme. I have not met one individual, personally, in real life, who fits that profile. I'm sure there are some out there, but everyone I know and deal with on a daily basis is patient and willing to wait.

In reference to US forces entering Afghanistan I recall something that Talleyrand said to the
Napoleon when asked by the Emperor whether France should invade Spain.
Talleyrand said, "Your majesty you can invade this country with bayonets...
but you can't sit on them."
