Another thing our government can do now is use all of the resources available to it to let Muslims throughout the world that we are NOT at war with THEM, that we are not the enemies of their religion, that we will protect and defend the rights of those in America who practice their faith or are of Arab descent. We should use all propaganda methods available to us, including broadcasts in Arabic aimed at the average person, advertisements in Arabic newspapers throughout the world, advertisements on television, where possible. As for protecting the rights of those here, we must react quickly and forcefully to all threats and render swift and harsh justice to those who perpetrate such crimes. I think a strong public response will do much to alleviate the fear and discourage those inclined to seek revenge by harming innocent American citizens because of their religion or heritage.

What is a specious argument? You don't think it is possible to snowball? An attack on an atomic superpower can't lead to global conflict? I'm not getting this. Mrs. Peel, I can tell you are angry. But now is not the time to act in an irrational and angry way. There is a lot at stake here. No one is going to object to us taking out the guilty, but we'd better have our ducks in a row. You are not being clear about what you are proposing. Credible threat to whom? And what is it about the word NECESSARY that makes it all caps. Perhaps you should clarify your position into a list of tasks you think are "necessary". The word was emphasized so, I guess it is critical to your viewpoint. If your goal is to communicate your viewpoint, perhaps you should clarify it. If you know who you are fighting it better be the right people and you better understand why they are your enemy. I'm not sure why you are arguing with me. Perhaps you just find any moderation intolerable. I simply don't know because I can't figure out what I've said that you find objectionable. I'm saying go slow, go with caution, do the right thing with all the available data, don't go for symbolic targets. What are you saying?
