We should avoid trying to occupy Afghanistan. I think the Afghans are ingrates. We sent them the stinger missiles that took down an average of a Russian plane a day for consecutive 100 days which turned the tide against the Soviets and forced them to withdraw. To attack the US or shelter those who have is beyond me. Ingrates. Of course, the moderate Afghans are trying to take power back from the Taliban. I don't see every Afghan as an enemy by any means.

I'll look for the book. Perhaps if you gave a brief overview you might convince several others to look for it too.

Fortunately, I do believe Colin Powell has read the book and knows it well. As an ex-military man, I have confidence that he won't allow the US to be drawn into a trap or a conflict from which it can never extricate itself.

There are two of us he seems to be the greatest gift we have right now.

My daughter just stated to me there are some sixty some odd groups so where do you start? They could be in are own back yard. They were that just proves that one out.

We can't go bombing countries we have to be so careful we don't financially back the wrong group.

Could very well be the euro shines.
