if the bounce will be short-lived -- why not just wait and short? Playing the bounce is more virtuous? Do you think you are going to get better fills that way? What?

this event means very little in economic terms, yes. but we were already headed for a crash in stocks as the US slipped into recession and the world. this event only serves as a catalyst to cause even more fear. stepping in front of it and getting cute in trying to play the bounces is asking for trouble, imo.

Haim - I am mainly cash but with some puts and some calls.
Do not puke - My calls are JNPR EMLX NEWP AETH.

Sell puts on a strong opening down? Hold may calls? Sell my calls on a strong opening move up?

I am in a reasonable position but have no idea how to play it. A very strong move one way or the other, I really do not care which would benefit me. Actually since my calls are Jan and Feb my prefernce would be a strong opening down into which I sell puts and pray for a bounce.

Thoughts?
