My point is that we, as a nation, have had a predominantly "safe" existence (or at least the feeling of). That is no longer the case. Once a people has tasted the better things in life, they are not going to give that up without one hell of a fight. These terrorists knocked us down a rung on the ladder. We are going to fight like hell to get back up to the higher rung that we were operating at.
