Work will be performed in Hopkins, Minn., and is expected to be completed in the third quarter of FY04. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. If we're still fighting this in the "third quarter of FY04" the above rifle might be put into production. A year later, the army could be equipped with them.

I sincerely hope this war doesn't last long enough to see the above in use.
