This piece makes a convincing case for Hussein/Iraq sponsorship of BinLaden, the 1993 and the current bombing. It makes a lot of sense to me

A showcase nuke is definitely not the place to start.

I would agree. Although limited tactical nukes would do a good job of taking people out who can run into caves quickly. I still had another idea come up in my head today... I think this is extremely effective!

That is to use snipers. You'd be impressed at how good these guys are. You can read a book about a guy named Carlos Hathcock. He was probably the best sniper we've ever had. For him, an 800 yard, one shot one kill was easy with a 30-06. He used a browining 50 cal machine gun for sniping over 2000 yards. There are now rifles in 50 caliber for just such long range sniping...If I remember correctly...in the right hands...they are effective out to 3000 yards. We could have roving teams (2men make a team) of snipers in Afghanistan. Then provide backup through attack helicopters, jet fighters, and missles. Even feed the teams input from real time satellite imaging. This would be a utterly brilliant and effective means of attack against this enemy. One shot...one kill...

Bear in mind! These guys were so good in Vietnam that our own troops hated them!
