I don't think I suggested that all the short positions that exist or liquidation of assets that have recently occurred were because their instigators knew something was going to happen. I'm suggesting that SOME people in the US markets knew, and that SOME of those people may well have been USA citizens. Recent reports (FWIW) suggest the former is true imho.....
