Richard,

Weapons are not the problem.

The Taliban is a rag-tag army of 50,000 people.

Which will run away and hide when we show up.

After we win and raise the flag over Kabul or Kandahar is when the problems start.

I dont see how we can keep an invasion force there year in and year out.

We'll either declare victory and leave and this will not resolve the matter much.

I dont have any better ideas but this "war" is not going to be so easy to "win".
