The Bernstein and Munro book is a good statement of the hawkish "China is our next enemy" view. I would pair it with an opposing piece from a more dovish perspective to get a balanced picture, though... Come to think of it, I believe Foreign Affairs did exactly that a few years ago... and come to think of it, I believe one can purchase a new FA reader entitled China: Rising Power, that contains those two pieces along with several more, at the magazine's website... <edit> well, apparently not, but I gather that the reader is indeed available and information about how to order it will be put up on the website soon... tb@itbetter.com
