I did not serve, coming of age as the war wound down. My father flew EC121 missions over the HCM Trail in Laos & Cambodia before we were officially there.

I worked, in the early 90s, in homeless shelters and as a homeless activist and worked to assist many who did not come out of the war whole.

I don't easily judge anyone; I have plenty of my own devils that keep me busy enough. But I don't think it serves a purpose, when in pursuit of the acts of murdering criminals, to provoke fresh hatreds of innocents. I didn't attack Jack with name-calling; I went after the words.

I do understand lingering resentments; perhaps demonstrating how to show support for our young (now signing up in record numbers, per reports) is a better way to resolve that.
