Actually, it's a discussion about the meaning of words, the use of word-choice as propaganda, and in a real sense about philosophy.

It began when the fact I had no idea was in the least debatable, that the terrorists are religious fanatics and extremists, was, remarkably, denied. They weren't, in fact, it was purported, religious at all! Not even, presumably, those who have memorized the entire Koran and dedicate their lives to their misguided understanding of it!

The question of whether another group of people was 'religious' or not was introduced by haqi. He drew a parallel with the extremist bombers of the WTC, and concluded the Christian abortion clinic bombers are in fact, unbeknownst to themselves, 'secular.'

I suspect that the time has arrived that inevitably seems to on this thread when any attempt at rational argument ceases and the ad feminam attacks begin.

Oh let's do hope i'm wrong!
